    Buying batteries Tuesday

Can y'all recommend the best batteries under $100. I need 1 starter and 2 deepcycles.

Roger i went with the everstart maxx at wally world 79.00 each 18 month free replacement, and i have had good service with them. i had thought of going to the optimas or agms but to save 6-7 lbs per battery was not worth the money to me. I replace mine every two years anyway.

Ditto on the Everstarts. I've got 3 yrs on mine so far with no problems. Get the 29 series rather than the 27's. They last longer on the water. I had to get bigger trays to fit.

Roger i ran the everstarts and they were fine.Early this year i got a deal on a pair of group 27 Trojans and went with them. They were a little more than 100 a peice but the last set i owned i had for almost five years so i wanted to try them again.Like Doug and them said the everstarts will work great.

AC/DELCO. Got 7 years out of the last set. I have a built in charger and plug them in when I back the boat into the garage. Not having to check the water level is also a plus. Bought mine a Fleet Supply in Houma.

Went bought before I saw the Delco posts. Maybe I went to the wrong Wally world but they did not have deep cycle in the Maxx batteries. And didn't have a 29 dc in the Everstart. Bought 2- 27 DC Everstarts and 1 29 maxx for starter battery.

    Re: Buying batteries Tuesday (RogerR)

Have always heard very good things about AC/DELCO
My boat came with NAPA batts and after 18 months I am well pleased.

Good luck...some good choices out there.
