    Tryin out some Louisiana waters

    Gentlemen & Ladies,

I need some help. I am from East Texas and coming over to fish a tournament this weekend and I need some help on Lake Verret. I am fishing in the Childrens Miracle Network and also a company competition.

I have never fished in Louisiana except on Toledo and have no idea about where I am going or what I might use to put a few fish in the boat.

If anyone could help me out, I will gladly return the favor on your next trip to Sam Rayburn or Toledo.

    Thanks for your help.

I have been doing good in the canals off of grassy lake! Nothing to brag about, but have managed around 4 solid keepers every trip. Ask Doug! Hopefully he will give you EXACT locations and GPS cordinates so I can plan my next trip accordingly

o, one more thing, GOOD LUCK finding an open canal this weekend to fish peacefully! The Dreams come true tx is this weekend and I think that there will be over 200 boats fishing it! Not to mention the weekend warriors that go on a regular basis. THEN, yalls tx, however many ppl that is.......Good luck though!

No it si pretty much anywhere you can run from diorons launch! Most ppl will be in the marsh, but they will be scattered!

Re: Tryin out some Louisiana waters (fishnhunt)

I hope they all go to the marsh! Its either side run were you can get to in back. There will be some go to desallemands, marsh, spillway, the wax and verret. We havent decided where for sure we are going yet. We're pretty sure we can catch a decent sack where I caught them. but not sure if its enough to win. We have had 4 top 5 finishes in as many years. So partner is calling for a go for broke move! i can tell you there are fish in the the dead ends off verret itself(michelle, willow tree, cracker head etc.,cheramie and sherman been producing, an old but good favorite is the canal behind the carwash at diorons). In the marsh the seventy mile area, orange grove, bay wallace and the clover leaf also the dead ends off the hutch(hooch). hope this helps!

This time of year, if it's warm by the weekend, this tx will most likely be won from the Verret side. That's from a man that hadn't bass fished in a few years.

You must be one of the boys from Port Arthur. Larry R. been trying to get me and some of the boys here at Motiva Convent to bring ya'll around.

If I were you, I would fish out of blind river. You should be able to catch some big ones there.

Re: Tryin out some Louisiana waters (padura)

I talked with Larry yesterday and yes we are the lone team from Port Arthur. We are going to test the waters this year and next year we are thinking that we will take the title from the LA boys!! I gotta talk some trash, right! Nah, we are just coming down to have some fun and hopefully catch some fish. I am sure we will see you guys tomorrow night.

Hate to hear that if it is true. Anyway, I will be one of the fat guys cooking with Larry tomorrow. I am the President of USW here at Convent. Look forward to seeing yall.
