    New Orleans boat show......

SUCKS if you are a bass boat guy. Atleast I have the Birmingham, AL show at the end of the month, but on a good note, we did sell a good many Blazer Bays today.

The Baton Rouge show is the same chit. You have to get to Alexandria or Shrevesport to get a good one.

Yes it was lacking bass boats. I saw a nice Ranger and some Skeeters. No Champs, No Tritons, No Bullets, No Blazers.....

i enjoyed it though. there are some fine bay boats out there right now.

One thig i did learn.....the Sterling/Shearwater line of SW boats is built in the same factory as Gambler bass boats.

Yep, Sterling/Shearwater/Gambler are all owned by the same company in FL.

The boat show here is lame.........there are 3-5 boat dealers here and only one (the same one) shows up every year. In fact, i do believe they are the ones that put it on. Now what does that tell you. Something is fishy about that.

Congrats, what did you get? Nitro, Ranger or skeeter? They didn't have alot of bass boats, but I fell in love with that Z21 intracoastal.

Re: New Orleans boat show...... (fishinfoolsonny)

I saw the Intracoastal and it was perfect for Louisiana fishing except for one thing! THE PRICE!!! LOL..

I bought the Nitro Z-7. I was looking for a bass boat sytle without carpet but everything was in the mid to upper 30's. I bought the Nitro Z-7 because it was a deal to good to pass up for 18k from a guy who won it in a tournament. I am going to get Boat City to redem it for me. I will probably upgrade to the 175 though but I loved the color scheme of the one that had at the show.

Yea, ranger is very proud of their boats. All the bass boats without carpet cost a fortune. You should be very happy with that boat, I looked at them before I found my boat used.
