Passed the launch the yesterday river is high and high up north. Rain today, tonite and thru wed am. Delacroix is not producing too many big stringers but you might get a small limit there. Port Bienville area will produce some small limits probably. My money is going to EDEN ISLES, CARR DRIVE, BAYOU LIBERTY, AND BAYOU LACOMBE!. I say 13 lbs will probably win it from the locals i am talking to. I will some of you who never fished the area much a free tip if you fishing any of the above areas dont be afraid to try a clear with gold flake DOA SHRIMP! They like them down there.Let me know how yall do.If it's hot i may see yall if cold I'll be huntin again! GOOD LUCK

Doug i didnt know they had fish in those areas Dont get these guys out in Lake P. when a good southeast wind start blowing and the tide starts falling!!!! I still have not ruled it out but well see what the river does. Heard several good stringers being caught Saturday in different places.

Is there usually a lot more boaters than non boaters in this circuit or is it even?

Smoked the bass in Reggio this past weekend. Blue moon Deadly Dudley Terror Tails on a 1/4 oz jighead. Live shrimp under a popping cork was by far the best choice. Even the bank fisherman had bucket fulls of bass fishing from the launch the last 2 times we went.

Definately out of the way, but my neighbor and I have been catching 30 to 60 a day around Bayou Segnette. Biggest 5 fish in one day was 19lbs!!!
Several 6 and 7lb fish caught by other boaters recently. Would be good if the SouthEast wind wouldn't blow every other day.

Somebodys going to catch them. I believe it will take at least 15 pounds to win. Good thing gas isn't around $4.00 a gallon because it sounds like a lot of gas will be burned in this one with the river muddy. Just hope we don't have any fog. I'm headed down early Friday morning to do some looking around and some pre-fishing. Good luck to everyone fishing the tournament & be safe on the water.

I sure wish they would consider eating another kind of fish after the storms we have had. We need all the help we can get to restock.

The river isn't that high and Delacroix/Reggio/Ven. Isle is on. Can't believe everything you hear. Just make sure you have a Mississippi license along with your LA license, the Water Patrol will be in full force this weekend.
