Federation Tourn---Bayou Segnette update

Has anyone heard if the Federation Tourn. scheduled for Sept. 27-28 out of Bayou Segnette Landing still on track?

I here it's still on track but there is alot of dead water. Some dead fish and perch looking for air at the top all over.

Thanks Rusty-- a Friend of mine planning on fishing the Fed. tourn., prefished this weekend.-- he saw a few dead bass and many dead bream, and like you had mentioned many on the surface looking for air.----- I Was going there this week to prefish, but keeping a close watch on Ike.---Not sure what to expect??

I have enough trouble catching them when their not hungry, much less looking for AIR!!!!

They closed the flood gates yesterday so there is no access to the boat ramp. Ike is forcasted to go to south Texas so they might open them up before the weekend. If not your going to have to go to peir 90.

Thanks Rusty,---Coming from Lafayette I may put in at the pier 90 landing just to be safe.--Is that the landing that butts up to hwy 90 right off the road coming from the west?

Please let us know how it is down there. That is my favorite fishing hole. Im heartbroken, worrying about it.

Fished from 7 to 2---Had 3 small bass 10" and 6 nice redfish 16 to 18".---Wind blew 20-25 mph so I wasn't able to fish open water at all.-----Lot of bad water, didn't see too many dead fish but did see a few.
