I am looking at a 16 Carolina skiff with a 30hp jet drive engine. I don't really know anything about them. Are the good? Can I change the jet drive to a regular lower unit? how do they drive and handle?

Yamaha lower HP engines are excellent and bullet proof. Had as much smaller one for years (6hp). Not too familiar with the jet drives but I do believe you can swap out the LU for a prop drive.
