    BASS/ABA Weekend Series

    next weekend.... I just talked with Porter, the tournament director for the series, he told that:
    1- We can fish/launch from either side of Doiron's
    2- 14" size limit
    3- no jump boats allow
    4- Doiron's canal is off limits
    {you have to tell them at the pre-meeting what side you are going to side on}

    Hope this helps a little,,,, I know that I had questions on these...Ricky196

    it's not a secret spot... it was just the "last" spot we fished.

    From what I understood was that what ever side you launch from is the side you have to fish and load back up from........the only other way would be to run way around through the Intercoastal into Morgan City.......I have never done it so I'm not sure have and the lenght of time involved........ by looking at the map, it's a ways......Something we will have to ask at the pre-meeting... FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND IS WHATEVER SIDE YOU PUT IN ON YOU MUST PULL OUT FROM. I THINK I HEARD YOU HAVE TO LET THEM KNOW AT THE PREMEETING. BUT FOR SURE THAT MORNING. THATS A STANDARD RULE DOWN THERE NOW DAYS. YEARS AGO THEY USE TO ALLOW CROSS OVERS NOT ANYMORE! the run around takes quite a while

    Re: BASS/ABA Weekend Series (DOUGMCGEE187)

    to run around will take quite a while manly because of the locks.The locks can take up to 1hr to get through..........Good Luck to those of you fishing ABA.......as for those fishing Andolsek this weekend if you can keep your stringers under say 10lbs I would appreciate it ....J/K good luck also

    Doug is right about this,,,,, this is a safety factor too! Also the reason for no jump boats allow, another safety reason.....if you get into back water and get hurt, all the ABA has is 21' Triton & a Platoon boat to go help you, which either can get into shallow backwaters or jump over logs or levee....... It's all for your protection & Safety.......... Ricky196

    One of my buddies asked me to fish the Andolsek, if you see a white/red/blue Stratos with a 2007, 200hp optimax, my lanky self won't be far from it. Good Luck!
