Max I believe is 6150 (limiter)
Prop it (light) for 5800-6000
It says on the website that 5500 is the max do you think it would be alright to run it at 5800-6000?
Plenty OKAlso, if you prop it to run 6K with a light load, when you load it down it will bring the R's down as well. Prop it to run 5500 light then when you load it down you will be running low R's where it won't make as much power.
I'm running a Tempest Plus 23, and it'll run 6000 rpms with no problem in spring with light load, at wot, and still run 5800'ish in summer.
Prop it to run close to 6000 with light load, and you'll be set!![]()
Remember, proping it correctly to run at it's max rpms at wot is good for the motor in all speeds/rpms![]()

I have a jackplate on my boat will this affect anything?Just want to let you guys know what im running now is a 25p turbo lightning prop at 5500 rpm but to get that I have to almost trim motor all the way out.Do you guys think even though I go down to a 23 pitch like you that gaining those extra RPM's will make me faster?
