ok, that was the obvious, are there any other differences. is there truly a 25 horse difference???

The proV has a 2.0:1 gear case(from what I have read), not sure what other differences.

I would think that is a basic difference between all the 150's vs the 175/200's (2.6L).

The main difference between the standard and prov models are motor mounts and a slight difference in tuning. Gear ratios from standard to pro on same hp models I believe are the same. Other than that its aesthetics.

It will get my old Ranger down the river at 61-62mph GPS and it purrs like a kitten after 19 years!

I agree with this thread...I just sold a 94 150pro v... I ran it alot in the 6 years I owned it. Long thirty mile runs on the big stuff and it never EVER missed a beat.
