Tornado passed right over us at 95th and Holmes. We were sheltered for about 45 min. Wife was sheltered at her high school in OP and the news says there were multiple touchdowns all around our house but most reports are putting the damaged areas a few blocks to the east of our house so I'm thinking we're ok but won't know until I get home from work![]()
I shut the plant down for a little over an hour also. Better safe, than sorry.
its gettin nasty where im at too....storm jsut passed over us a few minutes ago and we are gettin another one now...they look like they are loosing steam but still not as much as i would like.
wife is off work and picked up my boy but shes pretty much freaking out now, shes in wal mart right now at the back of the store and they arent letting anyone out yet
tornado sirens have went off once so far but havent heard if there was one spotted or not
Small damage around us but we dodged it as did most. Doesn't sound like these tornados were very strong...

no damage around here that i know of but bad thing is it only takes one bad one to do some real damage been bad this year thats for sure
Had damage 5 blocks away from my house. Seemed to be confined to a small area. Luckily, we did not suffer any losses. It is ironic that we dropped off 6 cases of water this morning at Arrowhead for Joplin. Little did we know that tornados were headed our way.
