Just read they decided to go to milford for a three day state qualifierthat should be fun for the Kansas boys. I would think 3 days on that lake would be pretty tuff!
RJ can milford hold up for three freaking days?

I know this was a tuff decision for Jeff. We have talked about it a few times, wasn't really trying to talk him out of it. I guess we all have to make the best of it. I just hope the lake is in one of it's so called hot times when we get there. I have been there twice and I must have cought 100 smallmouth ten inches long. NO KEEPERS. Although I did get to see some good fish at the wiegh in.
I told Jeff that someone might make the state team by just catching one keeper in three days. Just my prediction.![]()

How many boats are we talking? I think at the right time it could hold up for three days, depending on the amount of pressure. So far, there seem to be more keepers being caught this year than the past few years.

Once you take out the 15 or so boats that won't fish it because it isn't on Grand, it shouldn't be a problem.....![]()
It won't be easy fishing but maybe that will make it more of a true test?
Dunno, depends how many boats. Outta be interesting. Dennis, you gonna be there?

We (KBFN) had a two day Qualifer there in 2006 (I think) I helped with the weigh ins as I had already made the state team by winning the Mr. Bass that year and it was a very competitive tournament and barring winning on Perry this weekend I am planning on fishing the Qualifer . Now if I could just figure out how to catch a keeper bass on Milford it would be great. Larry Brumley
Some days it doesn't hold up for a one day club tournament.![]()

Yeah, and other days it takes nearly 16lbs like it did 3 weeks ago.On a serious note, Milford fishes small as everyone knows and it is VERY hit and miss. And back in the early 2000's it was real good. Till someone I know brought a ton of attention to the lake by catching a state record smallie .

16lbs won't let you even sniff a check-line this time of year across the river......
The 22#'s it took at Perry last week stacks up pretty well and thats is in Kansas. Larry Brumley
I'm feelin' the love. Just for the record, love to wiper and walleye fish there, but I've never done worth a darn in a tournament there. As you guys know, we've gone to Grand for the last few years, and I was directed by the club reps to hold a Qualifier in Kansas this year. Wilson was my first choice, but TBF of Kansas is holding several events there along with everybody else. Also, Geary County CVB stepped up and helped us out with staff accommodations and a meeting place. So Milford it is. At the spring rep meeting each year, the general place and time is determined for both the Qualifier and Mr.Bass by the reps, not the tournament director or board. If y'all want input, come to the meeting!
you will have to fish your a#* off but it will prove who has done there homework thats for sureim just glad i dont have to drive 5hrs to get there

bring them boys across the river to Milford and see if they can catch 16lbs. the BASS boys just got done with Day 1 at Lake Murray and 17lbs is winning. So even the pros have to grind a tournament every now and again. It will be competitive!
