looks like it's gonna be windy this weekend. was thinking the dam at fall river would be out of the wind for my tracker. any of you guys got a report on the crappie or whites there on the dam by chance? Never been there, is there a boat ramp close to the dam to say out of the wind?
If i remmber right the boat ramp is on the west end of the Dam.. haven't heard any report Sorry
There is a ramp near the dam. I seem to think it was East of it but again not real sure. If it's windy the River is a great place to hide. I think they call it Ladd bridge (there is a ramp there) - caught a few whites while trying to find some crappie a couple weeks ago. If you go into the riv be careful of some shallow areas and sleepers.

Ladd bridge is the only place if fish for crappie at fall river... last time i was there it was a month ago and the fishing was slooowww... but the whites and crappie should be biting i would imagine in the rive... also never had to much trouble putting the boat in the river just stay in the channel and your fine... i would really like to know myself if they are biting yet because when they are its on at ladd bridge and we catch over a hundred whites when they get going. btw just a caution when i went a month ago about a 75yd stretch of the dirt road right before the bridge was complete chit.. muddy as hell had to use 4x4.

brandon are you fishing in a boat or on the bank? Those are some dandies! Do the crappie and whites get on the dam there like they do at other lakes or do most run up the river?
all of those were caught fishing of the bridge with bobber and minnow for the most part right in the brush... there is a ton of it there... we do take the boat up the river when white bass fishing though... i sent you a IM
