What's the difference between the Series 2 and the old HPDI's ????
The series 2 is only available in 200-300HP models. A lot of the changes were just made for long term durablility improvement. They have newly designed pistons, a new engine control module, a new oil injection system (though they did issue a recall for the larger older HPDI's and changed the oil injection systems that were in them), and I believe they changed the piston rings to help with oil efficeincy, and they now feature a standard 3 year warranty instead of two. The majority of the motor is very similar, they just made a few improvements to the motor and increased the warranty. They are a great motor for sure!
So no real difference in speed or fuel economy ?
