Phase III Hydro Tech Kit 250 HPDI

Im running a stock 07 250 HPDI on my Ranger Z-21 and fully loaded im getting around 68 mph top speed. Does any one have an idea of what kind of speed increases i will see and what kind of money to expect to spend on this. Is it really worth the money? I would love to see 74-75 mph. Any ideas?? Im turning a 25 prop now also

yes its possible some hulls react to horsepower differently I gained alot more than 6-7 mph with my upgrades .....whatever gains you obtain with your set up you will run better all around than others that have the same rig.

You should expect approximately a 7 mph gain on the conservative side and approximately $2,900 in parts and $800 in labor. You would probably need to prop up to a 27....

does this make your boat illegal to fish FLW events. BFL's ect??

Yes. The motor is no longer a stock 250, therefore those events with a 250 max HP would be out for you.

I'm not so sure you would get 7 MPH more with the Ranger hull. As Paul stated, he gained more than the standard 1 mph per 10 HP increase.........but he does have 1 of the fastest hulls out there, in STROKER.

If you get the PH 3, you will add approximately 50 HP to the 250 HPDI. A 5 mph increase on your boat would be about the very best you could expect....IMO.

I suggest you call Hydro Tec and talk to Wayne or Mat about your possibilities.

The Phase III is really worth the investment if you are looking for more mid-range
power, top end, and fuel efficiency.......the price from Hydro Tec is excellent.......the only down side I see is wanting to fish tourney's with a 250 max hp.

The gains on a performance hull are going to be more than the Ranger.

MAN DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! I PUT THE PHASE 2 KIT ON MY 2005 Z21 AND IT MADE ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE. I HAVE THE 250 HPDI AND IT RAN AROUND 68 TO 70 AND IT RUNS EXACTLY THE SAME AND NO BETTER HOLE SHOT OR ANYTHING!!! WITH A RANGER YOU GET ALOT, JUST NOT CRAZY SPEED!! SPEND THE MONEY ON RODS, REELS, OR ELECTRONICS. DONT LISTEN TO ALL THE JUNK ABOUT OTHER BOATS GOING FASTER, THEY JUST DONT WEIGH AS MUCH AS A RANGER AND ARE NOT BUILT THE SAME,THEREFORE THEY ARE NOT AS DURABLE AND COMFORTABLE.
