    10 hour service

    Is this something i can do or should i take it in?

    Mike you can do most of it yourself but the oil pump is manually set to mix rich while breaking in and a technician needs to reset it. It is not like a Merc that will adjust automatically after a preset amount of hours.

    I also recommend that you wait until you have 20 hours on the motor. The reason being is that the lower unit fluid needs to be changed and it is better if you wait until you hove more hours on it to make sure it is completely broken it and all metal parts have worn appropriately.

    The service includes: plugs, lower unit, oil pump reset and downloading the diagnostics to make sure everything is going well.

    Thank you ..I had looked at the book and seen that about the oil pump but did not know what they did and i will wait until i have 20 hours...Thanks Mike

    I think they also re-torque the heads.
