Of course Kirk (Akdoc) and I could only muster just shy of 9 lbs yesterday (Saturday) during our club tournament, then we go out this morning and I catch these two hogs...my crappy scale had them just over and just under 5 lbs which means that they're likely at least a half pound heavier than that. Busted my pitching stick into 3 pieces when I tried to hoist the last one into the boat!
Now why does that happen the day AFTER the tourney? Oh, by the way, that's OsageJoe in the background.

For some reason, I think Joe got a bigger kick out of my treasured rod snapping than the fish itself! I'm telling you, that rod did not snap, it exploded! But I got a Powell 765 on the way to replace it.
If the pattern's right, I'll be starting there..sorry!
