Do any of you fish Lake Shawnee in Topeka? I may be meeting a buddy there this week and we would be fishing it for the first time. Is it worth our time or should we make the treck north to Banner?

I fished it when I was with Tyson one day. I think we had about 15 bass each. It was fun, but they weren't any size to the ones we caught...
You can catch lots of bass there just not much size to them...I would head up to Banner if it was me...better shot at some qualty fish there.
Go to Banner. Lake Shawnee is Ok but Banner is much better.
I aggree with the above posts. We've Fished both lakes several times this year and there is no comparison. Banner is much, much better.
Banner. Shawnee has too many pleasure boaters.
