He did some fishing I know that for a fact since he had the boat backed up to the water when I called him
I was down there for the college tourney and know that he took a college team out on day 3 so he must've not made the cut.
Sorry I haven't been on in a while, been working like crazy and getting ready to leave for Amistad.
My Tournament was frustrating to say the least.....I had an average prefish...I found a few ledge fish that I could catch them on, but they were extremely unreliable....here one minute gone the next.....water temp was 72 degrees with still some fish spawning because of the messed up weather...We got stormed on everyday, almost struck by lightning the last day.... I had 63 fish one day, but only one keeper flipping the buck brush, really frustrating.....
I tried to pull a safety and go fish in a local marina for release fish....it worked the first day I had a limit for 11 pounds and change, but it didn't work the second day... I had to leave and go flipping and I caught a keeper on my last cast.
I really needed about 12 pounds a day to be high enough in the point to make the long trek to the detriot river, but I'm gonna skip the next to and go to LOZ instead.
I did take a college team out fishing....they had an opportunity for a 20 pound sack easy, but they didn't know what to look for on ledges (it was what i had been trying to find all week). Big Bass balled up all over my graph and I couldn't say one word about it... They were great at casting, but they didn't analyze any fish they caught, one of the ledge fish whacked their spinnerbait after he through over the other side of the boat to clear a backlash, but they deemed it was a fluke and kept on trucking......you don't know how bad I wanted to through over there.....
Oh well, next stren in a week at Amistad, so away we go!! Anyone else been fishing?
