    chine walking with the pro's

I guess its just a comfort level, but I have never owned a boat that was fast enough to chinewalk. I tend to stick to the fish and ski's. but let me tell you the guys in the elite series arn't scared. I rode with Russ Lane with 2-3 ft rollers on the lake and as soon as it would flatten out just a little bit he had his BassCat up and it would chinewalk and I swear we were on the edge of being out of control the whole trip. We blew the prop out of the water several times. Is that how all of you guys drive your boats?

Re: chine walking with the pro's (akdoc)

I do not enjoy the feeling of chine walking, same as Mike for me, I trim up as much as possible until chine walk, then trim down just a hair.

Sure would be a wild ride to be with a pro on a choppy day... I remember fishing Lewisville a few yrs back with huge rollers where even in our deep V walleye boat it was a crazy ride, Luke Clausen was there running a film boat and he was running full speed ahead crashing through the rollers like it was nothin

If you've owned a Triton, chinewalk is old news. It's easily tameable with setup and seat time.

Don't have to deal with it much, but I always enjoyed watching RJ get his old rig up and going and drive the piss out of it...

Re: chine walking with the pro's (Jiggernaut)

It definitely takes seat time in a Triton. I think, for the first time in over 2 yrs since I got my 01 TR20 Triton I actually drove it comfortably this past weekend at WOT and fully trimmed. It's still work, however. But finally it's more reaction and less thinking. I didn't think this time would EVER come....must be a slow learner!
