    New experience

Got some first hand experience today melting lead, we had 24 pounds that i made into 8oz sinkers to do some spoonbill fishing at twin bridges, north of grand lake in april. I found out that its a heck of alot cheaper when you have the lead laying around made 45 weights in about 2 hrs. A good buddy of mine let me barrow his equipment made it go pretty easy got me a 10 ft rod for 15 bucks. he is selling his stuff and trying to get out of the business, just tired of messing with it anymore

Good luck snagging this year. I tries it once at Chetopa dam, I couldn't move my arms to 3 days after that. Threw 8-12 oz 5 hours hook 2 fish, landed one. Now I go to watch and have a few cold ones.

My brother and I went a couple years ago, at Twin Bridges, for the first time. He hooked one, 57 pounds. We about died getting it in the boat, didn't know you don't have to. The thing bled like a stuck hog all over the back deck. That was it for me. I didn't think it was all that much fun anyway.

Their a pain in the azz on LOZ during the snagging season. Have to watch out for them as you run around.
