Max RPM for 300HPDI

i was told by the dealer that i could run at 6000 rpms with no problem but the book tells you not to go over 5800??? And i do have a replacement oil pump??? I am thinking of a new prop that will bring me to close to 6000. Any info would help thanks.. its a 05 motor..

I have a 05 also and I run mine right up to the limiter all the time with no problems

is the limiter at 6000 or higher????

Yep, been on the limiter with mine all the time....going to have to get some new props....
