    Re: hey steve (whoza_daddy)

Matt sure hope you wanted this review public because here it is :

Here is my review of the baits you painted. I want to be brutally honest so if I say something non-positive it is only to help you perfect you style.

Let me start out by saying “THANKS” these are some beautiful baits.

They arrived very well wrapped, I was surprised they had hooks on them, I assumed I would be responsible for added in the hooks. Nice Surprise.

The paint seems to be even across the entire width and breadth if the lures, no runs, drips or thick areas. This should ensure the lures run straight and true. The finish is clear and bright.

The eyes are bright and shinny. It feels as if you clear coated over them, I cannot feel the edge of the eyes.

A few of the baits have paint on the bills, as if they were taped off incorrectly. Most of this comes off really easy with a thumb nail scrape. But some seems to be clear coated at the bases.

The fire tiger has some great sparkle in the paint.

The sexy shad colors are the bomb, I really like the scale pattern that you added – WOW!

The deep diver in the Table Rock Shad color with the scale pattern is great I can’t wait t0 throw it. If you look at that bait head on you will notice that the paint on the right side fades together about ½ down the bait, the left fades together about 1/3 down the bait, not sure if that is a problem, just something I noticed.

Over all I am very impressed, if I had bought these baits in a store I would not have looked at them nearly as close I did you baits, but the fit and finish are great and the paint is even, uniform and clear, I bet they will hold up to heavy use.

Thanks Matt these are some great baits, expect more orders from me in the near future.

thanks man thats what I was wanting to know. The hardest paer of the whole deal is the paint on the bill. I should have taking the time to make it look " very good" instead of just good. Sometimes I get and unstead hand and get a little out of control.

Just a note those are mustad hooks

the paint is a water base so you can run it under the sink and rub it real good it shold come off. Do you like the exposy over the eyes a bad thing.

I like the it, as long as the paint does not cloud up over time, i am a firm beleiver that eyes have a dramatic impact on fish imiataion baits

It should also help the eye from coming off after bang it into a tree or rocks ..
