Rough Idle?

Hi guys, So I just bought me a 03' G3 Hp170 and its got a 90hp Yammi 2-stroke on it. It doesn't seem to be too major, so i'm not extremely worried about it. When i'm in a wake zone, and idling out....my motor seems to idle kind of rough...it kinda jerks around a little bit. It's not to the point on stalling out I don't think, but its just kind of a rough idle. It doesn't do it with the motor out of gear, just when I put it into gear. It seems to run fine when I give it a little more gas and get the rpm's to rise a tad, but at an idling speed, it jerks around a little. I'm just wondering if this is normal, or what I may check for the problem? But like I said, it doesn't SEEM to be anything serious...just kind of a "peace of mind" thing. Anyways, If anyone could lend me their thoughts on it, That would be great. Thanks!

My first thought is maybe it's idling just a wee bit too low. Your manual will give you the idle speed (something like: 700 + or - 50). If you're at 700, then bump it up to 750. See if that helps.

Might be getting loaded up with a rich oil adj... Not sure on the lil' motors. Plugs may need changed.

Thanks guys. I will check on that idle speed. Does the manual show how to adjust it as well? I'm new to outboards, so don't wanna risk messing something up.

I'll be sure and check the plugs too.
