    Is this really a motor brace?



    you would have to tilt the motor back into the bilge in order to use this for a brace.

    not to mention it would still leave all the weight on the transom.

    You raise the motor about all the way up and then flip that lever down. Trailering you need to use a motor toter or other device.

    The flip down is more or less a safety while working on the motor with it tilted up.

    yep
    states in the owners manual
    do not use that for trailering

    funny in 2000 my dealer said it is ok, they are CH 11 now, LOL
