Any of you guys see many with this cold front? I went home to the parents last weekend and got the pit all clean out but was suprised not to see many quacker. There were more around in Sept. then I saw last weekend.

Was out on Lawtonka on Monday and saw several large flocks coming up off open water when the pleasure boaters went by. They're here!
Plenty of ducks. Plenty of water. Going to be a great season.
I have not saw many. I am also surprised that I haven't seen that many geese around here either.
I've been spending way too much time on campus lately, I wouldn't know
Was surprised this past weekend at Dodge City we had lots of ducks and geese guess that what happens when we finally have some water.

A buddy of mine scouted today and had good reports
frickin hilarious casey!!! actually i had to take my dog back to the absolutely shitty vet school there that i have spent an a$$ load of cash at on 3 surgerys for my dog and shes still not fixed!!!
But actually manhattan is bad ass and i try to come as much as i can to party!
I just read the waterfowl report at clinton... 2000 ducks!!!! thats pretty good for clinton! better than anywhere else besides perry is the same! Man i cant wait till saturday!!!

I hear Clinton ain't a bad waterfowling spot. Perry always seems to have good numbers too. Now what you need to do is get permission to hunt that lake just off I-70 just north of Lawrence that's always stacked full of birds all winter long

The pond that is east of Lawrence (a couple of miles) and south of I-70 is always full of ducks and geese.... is that the one you are talking about?

The one I'm thinking of is no more than 1/4 mile south of I-70, you get a pretty good view of it from the highway. I'm betting we're thinking of the same one, would love to hunt that place

I'm sure its the same one.... that thing is always loaded during the season. I'd like to hunt the fields around it for geese.... I've never seen anyone hunting any of those properties.
Could be I know someone who has permission there...
i was down at our marsh yesterday and we had quite a few ducks flying around teal, gadwalls, wigeons woodies, etc...............should be great on Sat. I guess if you tear your knee up you go duck hunting.......Brodie Croyle is going with us should be fun and get his mind off his problems
If your talking about the old rock quarry lake I have seen guys hunt the fields around there. Matter of fact someone shot a goose hunting video there in about 06. I have it here at the house.
That was Shawn Stahl with some guys I know from KC.
Video called "runnin traffic" if I remember correctly. I stopped in there to get permission but they said they only let family hunt. Then the next year this video comes out.
