Anyone having troubles with proshaft seals in their motors. I have an 05 225 hpdi that I am fixing to have to replace my replaced seal with. Just wondering if this was a problem or just my luck.

I believe itÂs just your luck. Mine is burning up gear lube, no leaks. ItÂs a remanufactured 03 hpdi gear case. I'm changing to full synthetic. Maybe that will help, I hopeÂ
Yamaha's have a great mechanical history (powerhead) , but from what I've read and heard the maintenance parts (seals, fluids and stuff) aren't doing so hot.
