Report on Doc's condition

Sorry I haven't posted an update lately, but I just haven't been on the computer much.

Went to the doctor twice last week. Everything was supposed to come out Thursday, but he said come back tomorrow to my other office and we'll take some x-rays. Did that on Friday. He checked them out and said let's keep everything (staples and catheter) in until next Tuesday. BTW - The doc said the final pathology showed that the cancer was much more aggressive than originally thought.

I've had a problem with acid reflux for the last week. The reflux causes me to hiccup which causes my windpipe to spasm occasionally making it hard to catch my breath. I'm on some acid reduction medicine now and doing much better on that front. I am sleeping better, but still get tired very easily just from walking around.

I'll try to report after my appointment on Tuesday.

Jim, Hard to believe it's been 10 days since surgery. I got very busy and did not get back with you, but I had not forgotten you. still coming. Hang in there through all the ups and downs and take care of yourself! I'll try to call later this week.

Final pathology showed that the cancer in the prostate itself was more agressive than first thought. The "margins" (the area where the prostate connects into the rest of the stuff down there) did come back positive. My doc says that means that they "probably" got it all, but will need to monitor my PSA for several years.

Man, I can't wait to get rid if this dang bag - what a PITA!!! it makes doing anything that requires moving around pretty difficult.
