Inproved parts and more HP.![]()
So the 20 hp came from the computer change or box and pistons?
From what I have heard it is the ECU that is giving the extra hp
after talking to hydro tec about the HPDI's it sounds like they are seriously detuned even in 04. Thats why they can be modded so easy without computer fuel mapping changes.
Connor, please explain 20 HP over the last years or 20 HP over what the decals say ? Is that prop HP or power head HP ? Thank You. Enrico
The gears are stronger new oil pump the most important improvement the new cowling is SWEET!!!

The 20 HP is more then the HPDI none series 2. I think that is at the power head not sure on that would have to check with hydro tec.
Just to throw in another 2 cents... I believe that because the series 2 HPDI's have forged pistons, they are increasing timing and possibly re-mapping the fuel curve. They are doing this because of the fact that forged pistons are a heck of a lot stronger and more forgiving than cast, hence being able to make more power without sacrificing reliability..![]()

SWEET!!! I think this will be a real good motor that lower unit looks new also.
