I have never been either and thought about taking a road trip sometime to check it out. Bob..... get in here and let use in on some info![]()
Mozingo is about a 1500 acre lake but is more Long than it is wide.......it has a 40 MPH limit due to traffic on lake at times and to keep it safer.......Located just to the NE of Maryville, MO.
Waterr is stained to murky at times with run off.......lower end of lake has tendecy to be more Clear. There are an Abundant # of trees and cover......few Beaver huts and Jetties......there have been counts of several Submerged Piles Located thoughout the lake........Lots of Vegitation. There have been reports of bass up to 8 pounds caught out of there but I have not seen one myself......Have whitnessed a few 5-6 pounders at a couple ABA's and one BASS tx there.
I would go there as often as I could if it wernt for gas right now![]()
If any of you guys want to get together I'd be happy to help ya......maybe we just get together over a weekend for some Fishing and Friendship.........lake is only 1.75 hours from me![]()

Ryan. Be sides a MO fishing lisence what othe fees are there. Thinking of giong up there. Just don't want to drive 2hrs and find some surprises.
Chad
There is a daily launch fee, last year it was $8.00 if I remember correctly. I have not been there yet this year. Great fishing hole though, it is not uncommon for 20lb bags to come out of that lake on any given tournament day.
This lake is well worth the drive![]()

YEP.....Denny is right..........if you take your boat there is a Ramp access fee.....otherwise you can buy a Yearly pass which last I knew was around $40 or so whcioh if you are going to fish Mozingo more than a twice......I think it is worth it.
I bought a pass 3 years ago when I was tryin to fish it......still learning it myself but havnt been able to afford the gas expense this year...............I Fished FOM with Bob last year on it.......and I Fished with Stevo with the Leavenworth Bass club when I just wanted to go.............I have caught fish on every trip.......Just none of any size yet and maybe just tryin to figure out the areas too.
Thanks guys. Thats what I wanted to know.
Chad
I stuck a monster there last summer when Bob was guiding me![]()
More 20 pound sacks come from that lake than any other in the state. If you don't have 20 pounds in a tourney you probably aren't in the money.
Here's Casey's Toad

I think it cost Casey a K-State Fishing Team Tee Shirt. So it's pretty reasonable![]()

Fished a circuit there Sunday about 25 boats it took 24+lbs to win. 5 bags over 20 several 18+ and there were 20lbs bags that didn't get a check. We had 14.95lbs and was in the bottom third of the field
