Hey everyone,
I picked up a new boat last week that is a 201 stratos with a 250 hpdi engine on that back. It has 16 hours on the motor and was wondering if anyone here has anything good/bad/or otherwise to say about me running Amsoil 2 stroke oil in it? Thanks.

Make sure you have it broke in good before switching to Amsoil. I had about 40 hrs on mine before switching to Amsoil. You'll need to drain all the old oil out of both tanks before you add the Amsoil and you should be fine. My 06 250 HPDI runs great with the Amsoil in it and have not had any problem with the l Amsoil HPInjector.

No need to drain any oil... It will mix just fine. Amsoil does however suggest that you run the oil low, Just so you can see the benefit sooner. I would also wait until it's broke in good before the switch.

did you buy the boat from C&O?? Just curious if it is a blue one, I might know the team member that had that boat....Duane Harper...if so I can guarantee that boat is cleaner than the day it left the factory.

It came from C and O but it isn't blue...
With deer season starting I won't get to use it much until after the first of the year but I think I'll spend more time on the water this next year than I have in the past 5 years together.

Just so you know...Yamaha <U>does not </U>have to honor the warranty if you use a non TCW-3 oil and have a oil related engine malfunction.
