    Sufix Braid

    Hey guys,
Have any of you tried out the Sufix Braid? I am currently using Spiderwire Invisibraid. I am somewhat questioning the durability of it. I used to use the old Original Moss colored Spiderwire that they no longer make and loved it. I switched to the new Invisibraid thinking it would be just as good if not better, but I am really not that impressed when it comes to the durability. I have tried the Spiderwire Stealth and Ultracast and really don't care for either of them. Thanks for your input!

Been using it for 2 years.....30lb for frogs and lipless on grass and 65lb for flippin heavy cover. I Like it better than spider wire and power pro. Keep it out of the UV and the 65lb will last all season. IMHO

Thanks for the response guys! It is kinda pricey, but I figured with the rebate it would be worth a shot. I was reading on the BPS feedback board that everyone who didn't like the Spiderwire preferred the Sufix Braid. Guess I will have to give it a shot!

I've always been a power pro guy, but it seems like Suffix is stealing a lot of those customers. My dad called to tell me I should switch so I'm going to give it a go too.

    Lsto19-
What advantages do you see using the 30lb braid for your frog rod over the 65lb braid? When I use Spiderwire, I use 50lb for all applications and it seems to get the job done. Does the 30lb give you better action walking the frog? It seems like a good braid will be really supple, no matter what test (for the most part), not affecting the action that much. Thanks for everyone's response, looks like I will now be spooling up some Sufix next trip. Thanks for everyone's input!

    Re: Sufix Braid (MMesplay)

I am sure the 65 would work just fine but I like the 30lb for the frogs and lipless baits around the grass. it seems to be a little easier to handle in the wind and I can get longer more acurate casts. The 30lb is plenty strong and it will slice threw the grass and pads (and fingers) like butter; much better than the larger diameter 65.

My thoughts but I am no suffix pro staffer...just a user who really likes it
