I went out this last weekend and couldn't put anything together... Did catch a wiper on a LC RC 0.5. Anyone have some helpful pointers?
The water temp was low 60's and very stained in my opinion...![]()

I plan to fish it alot this summer with the new boat; haven't ever really tried to catch bass there before but I hear good things from some people.
i wanna try and catch some with RJ this year
I don't know about hillsdale but as far as cranking goes I've had decent luck with the RC 2.5 in stained water this past month

Fished it probably a dozen times in the last two years and maybe caught 5 short fish...
I'm starting to think that too.... Did see someone pull a small bass in not too far from me though... maybe it was the last one!![]()
That lake can be tough. I fish the Wed. Night TX. Big bass last week was almost 7lbs, and there were 4 over 5 weighed in. They are there just have to know where to look.

I've been fishing the Wed. night thing off and on for about 7 years. The first few years if you had one over 18 you were getting a check. There just weren't that many keepers being caught. The last few years if you didn't have 2 you were hoping that no one else found them. I had 2 6.30lb one night and we only ended up with 1st place. Got beat out for big bass by a 7lber. This year has been different. We are using the Bass Pass. We are alowed to bring in 3 bass between 15 and 18 inches. It has been taking between 12 and 18 lbs to win. 3 under and one over is a good sack. We have had many nights in the last few years that we would have 8 or 10 fish that were between 17 and 17 3/4. This year those 3 may win a few checks. If any of you are interested in fishing on Wed night we start to draw numbers at 5:30 and take off at around 5:45-6:00. $50 per boat. This is a buddy TX. There is a 1 time $10 fee, per person, to help with ramp permits and so on. We take off from Jayhawk Boat ramp. South side of the Dam. You will need to have a Bass Pass also.

Something about that line doesn't add up, maybe you ended up in 2nd and the dude with the 7lber was 1st or do they do things different at this tournament?
I bet ya he meant that he got 1st place but even though he had a 6.3 lber, he still didn't win big bass![]()
