My yamaha runs great except for a split second when I hit 3500 rpm's. What would cause this. I run 6000 rpms all the time with no problem. It is a 1992 130hp. It does it out of the hole and when I am running wot and coming back down from 6000.

I would suspect a slightly clogged jet in the carb perhaps

The engine never sits for the carbs to get gummed up. Anything that i can put in the fuel to eliminate this problem.
Well, you could try some sea-foam but why would you add a gas additive if you don't think it's in the carbs?![]()

Because you were the one who suggested that it might be.
Try running the sea foam. Do you usually run a de carb agent? If not you should.
