    THE JOB - URINE TEST

Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their BUTT, doing drugs, while I work. . . . Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?

Can you imagine how much money the state would spend to implement such a testing program? I mean c'mon, a testing site in every city & town in the state. A centralized lab, or a contract to screen samples... Then the expense of litigating when social program recipients cry "foul" and of course the expense of rehab programs for those poor lost souls that go astray... Nope, I don't see a savings in this at all...

Hmmmmmmmmm.....2 sides of the coin here.....which one to go with?

    NEITHER.

I say.....eliminate the program all together and start a new one that actually makes sense..........require people to actually have some sort of job 1st before mandating state help...........You say you cant work.......I say you cant get any help then.

I think we would be amazed at the amount of people whom all the sudden arnt so "hurt" anymore

2 words are used in this.......Well........and.........Fair

Well is there to help people stay "Well" and heathy.

Fair is something that is "Fair" to everyone......including the taxpayers.

I dont mind my taxs helping out others who actually need it. Since I have to vote for President & other Officials.....why cant I vote on WHOM or where my tax money gets to go to?

It would be a huge expense to start up but, think of the money that wouldn't be handed out to drug users, maybe give them more incentive to quit.

Why not just legalize drugs and tax the hell out of 'em?? Think of the enormous windfall the Gov't can enjoy and reduce our other taxes as well.

Maybe welfare should change back to what it was in the 20's, 30's and 40's..
The goverment didn't just hand out money. You wanted to make some money, good the goverment had many jobs for the unskilled laborer. Where do you think a lot of the resoviors we fish came from? "They didn't dig themselves!"

I realize that wouldn't work now, Work for a living - "Thats Crazy Talk!" just send me my check.....
