YEP........been trying to read stuff in news about all of this.........Looks like the MIdwest has around 19 People Dead in this Ice Storm already ..................most are reported in OK right now and the rest are coming in from Kansas and Missouri thus far........Falls City Nebraska(and very SE corner of NE) seems to be the Heaviest hit around here with 2-2.5" of Ice........no reports coming in from them yet but I'm betting there are several without power there too

Kinda reminds me of Last years Ice storm up here......right after Christmas......Dec 29th thru 31st.........LOTS of damage from Kearney, Grand Island to York area.

I think I am one of the few in Manhattan to still have power. However, I woke up this morning to discover that I have the better half of a large tree in the back of my truck. I will try and post some pictures. Be safe everybody!

My dad hasnt been home since yesterday about 10am i dont think, working aroun pittsburgh if its that bad he may not be home for a couple days and when he is hell probably be sleepin the whole time

Manhattan is a mess. It took me 45 minutes to get to campus this morning because all of the streets are closed due to limbs. There is a foot of water rolling through the ditches that will make driving fun if the temp falls another couple degrees. Most of town is shut down due to loss of power, which is why I get the day off. Honestly though my wife is home today and I would rather go to work if you know what I mean. (insert "pissed off, hissing, bitchy cat" emoticon here)...

How are the conditions in Manhattan right now? I'm supposed to have a sales call in Manhattan at 5pm...coming from KC. Is I-70 cleared? May need to reschedule...but if it is just wet like it is around here I will venture out that way.

As of now, roads are slushy but perfectly fine to drive on, not sure about I-70 but I'd assume its fine. The damage from the ice however, is another story. I'd seriously consider rescheduling your sales call. KSU campus is about the only place with power right now. Stores/restaurants are all closed. Power lines and trees down literally evrywhere. I had a 1/2 mile drive to campus but could hardly do it because of road blockage's because of lines down/tree branches blocking the road.... Its a mess right now...
