Has anyone tried the Redhead Dry Plus or Cabelas Dry plus? I just put my Gortex Parka and bibs in the trash this morning and need to buy some new ones. Just don't want to spend 500.00 again on Gortex. I think Cabelas Dry Plus is guranteed and can be returned? Any Input?

I have never tried the dry plus, but have heard nothing but great reviews on them

Didn't due it on purpose......put them in a trash bag to keep them scent free and mistakenly put them out with the other bags
Dennis...............My very 1st pair of Rain gear was Cabelas Dry-Plus. It is pretty good stuff but I will tell you right now it IS NOT G-tex...............It did seem to keep me just as warm but I think I sweat in it a bit more.....and after about 2 years of intermittent Use I ended up back at Cablelas to buy something with G-tex

I wore them for quite a few years and Decided to get me a Bibs set.......just got the BPS Pro-Qualifier Bibs & jacket this spring & like them a lot.
Dennis, same comments as Ryan (never ever thought I ever admit <U>that </U>!!!) since I've had both. Thr guideware is the way to go. We'll probably get invited to do another Kasting Kids event at Cabela's next Spring if you can wait. That's when I bought mine with then discount.
Have you checked the Bass Pro top end rain gear ?? Don't forget about the discount all of us KBCF members get in Olathe. Might be worth checking too.
I have the Cabelas gore tex guidewear uninsulated and it's awesome!!!
Thanks for the input guys...........but I am talking about heavy camo cold gear not rain suits. Any input on the bib and heavy coats?

I have the Cabelas Dry-Plus gear (bibs and jacket). Mine are not insulated but have worked great I got the size larger and wear layers underneath.The gear has worked well for me fished in freezing cold temps with snow/rain/wind to a complete downpour. Also have worked well by blocking the wind. I would buy them again. Also being camo I use them hunting as well.
