I still can't believe the utter stupidity in having that tourney at Milford.![]()

Evidently, they're looking to set all the records for least fish caught, smallest stringers, most pissed off anglers, etc......
Looking forward to going to the weigh-in...should only take up about 20 minutes of my day each day.![]()

Wouln't it be something to see some of those Heavy Sticks, uncover the mystery at Milford and bring in some 25 lb. sacks? I with Jason on this, I don't see it happening. Maybe some bad press will curb some of the pressure on the lake.
guys, this is the worst year I have ever seen Milford. Last year, all summer long it was taking 11-16 lbs to win a sunday mornig Tourny. In years past, the end of the year wed tourny usually took 12-16 lbs also. This year was screwed up after the high water in early may. Should be better next year and this tourny may not be too bad...![]()

Ryan,
We gotta get you down here whent he bite is on....Seems you've never been here when it's been good. Jason and I pre-fished for a salina T and probably had damn near 15lbs with out best 5. He had a 4 lb smallie and a LM pushing 5....and I had a 3 and change smallie and 17" LM.....Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to talk the lake up, but it's usually not as bad as everyone makes it sound....Tim and I have had some great days too...![]()
i just don't under stand,,, one year it's good and the next year it's Bad .. where did all them fish go.. i'm sure nobody ate all of them .there wasn't a big fish kill was there .. is it that them fish get pounded all the time and are getting smarter... i was there 2 years ago,, my 1st cast was a 5#LM, we caught several nice LM and enought SM to get a check. i didn't think it was all that bad.. i was going to come fish it again this year but was told to stay away the lake didn't need all that pressure![]()

Honestly RJ..............the last time I actually caught 10lbs at Milford was about 3 years ago........and I DID NOT have 5 feesh to do it either......I had 3. One was a nice 4lb(3.8) smally......another was a 4lb(3.8) LM and another 2.5 football for my three fish.
NOW....................if I was to say i did a card Tourney there.......I'd tell you I could use feesh 12" or larger......most of them were under 15" anyway and didnt amount to much......so even within catching 15 small card fish I was lucky to use top 5 of them and have around 7.5-8lbs total![]()
Sure the lake can be just as good even when its Bad......but more times than not it has left me holding NOTHING as well as many others I knowAlways seem to be around the time I was spending $$ to go there and fish it..........Lesson Learned I guess

In our club tourneys this past year, I was able to catch 10 lbs or more at every other lake we fished except Milford. I agree that the weather played a factor in the poor fishing, but we fished our championship there in October after the lake had time to stabilize and I had to work my azz off to catch 5 1/2 lbs. They were all smallmouth and that didn't suprise me. What did suprise me is that I or anyone else couldn't catch a largemouth to save our azz.(I think maybe one was caught for the whole tourney.) I caught a 17" smallmouth prefishing way up in the back of a cove in Spring Creek that was normally a spot for largemouth. That leads me to believe we may have similiar conditions developing like it is at Wilson, where there are so few largemouth, the smallies are starting to inhabit the LM haunts. The LM thing is what really gets me. There was a good population coming on and then they vanished. Pressure?
