Holy cow, I thought I was gonna have to drive to Mexico

Went to the parade in Junc Town yesterday morning (which was very good by the way), then a stop at chapman creek on the way home to start replenishing lost supplies, then I was dieing for some good mexican food. Get back to Salina and I swear they are all closed. La Fiesta, La Casita, La Hacienda, Dos Potrillos. I thought I was gonna come unglued. Tons of other places open but not the mexican restaurants. Finally went to Carlos O'Kelleys and the were open. Was yesterday Cinco de Mayo or did I miss something?

Hey now, I am pro take the day off and all, especially on July 4th but there were tons of other NON corporate businesses open yesterday. I happen to like spending my money with NON corporate businesses when possible. I know I didn't have trouble getting gas at the Mom and Pop convenience store in the morning, didn't have trouble at the little fishing tackle store, saw lots of little NON corporate restaurants open. Does this mean all these businesses are unamerican cause they decided to stay open? Really, I just thought there was something going on with little independant mexican restaurants that I didn't know about.
