The stuff north of Topeka was pretty impressive this morning.![]()
Heres a couple really crappy pictures I took this morning. Most are from inside the truck while going 65 so they arent the best, but you can get the idea.

The last pictures looks like upper part of Grand with the floating debris when I was down there in March, last day my boater decided to run up river in the cold muddy water, had to look out for floating logs and other debris that was washed in, pretty dangerous I thought but we only hit one logI have some pics of Grand with the big logs and other debris but don't have a scanner.
They say this weekend before the water crests here. Aberdeen got almost 10" and it will take a week or so for it to get to Huron. The little lake I fish (65 acres) got around a foot of rain.... I'd bet it is full![]()
But there were parts of the state that needed the rain. They still could use some more rain out west river.

I drove Hwy 75 as far south as Lyndon today before being stopped due to 75 being flooded. Was trying to get to Neodesha. Would have had to go to Ottawa and then back down 35 to get there. Would have missed my appointment, plus the next one, so went 59 down to 54 and across to 69 to Joplin.

I am from Aberdeen. My folks said 9 1/2 inches and water is standing in their backyard and was still rising. They hadn't taken any into their basement yet, but the entire development to their North which is slightly lower is completely inundated. My dad is over 70 years old and hadn't seen anything like that up there in his entire life. Aberdeen is in the Jim River basin so it is very flat and there's nowhere for it to go. Not unlike Salina......
Am I going to get home?
I made it to Springdale Arkansas yesterday. Got to fish Beaver with Chris Wages chris_ken23. Had a great time! Going to see a client this morning and head back home. Hopefully, 71 will be open through MO.![]()
stein....why didnt you stop in topeka?? we could have gone to lunch![]()

Next time, I promise. I was really pressed for time this time and still didn't get to see everyone after the detours.
