LBC annual Kids Derby

Leavenworth Bass Club held it's annual kids derby yesterday and one of the best things about this effort is that over the past few years the club has invited kids from the Leavenworth Youth Center. These are kids that may come from families that are not affiliated with LBC, may not fish and several of the kids had never held a fishing rod before. Here are just a few pics. Personally I think this is one of LBC's greatest successes because I honestly heard one of the Youth Center kids say "this is the most fun I've had in forever". These are just a few of the pics. Dennis and Willy will get them all edited and hung on the Leavenworth Club website soon.

I believe the numbers were something like :
23 kids between the age of 4 and 15.
caught a total of 162 fish. (Bluegill, crappie, perch, bass,etc)
thats not counting the fish Willy, Dennis, and i caught.

The weather cooperated and i think fun was had by all
