that is probably Why....I worked 2 jobs for a about a year and half........seemed that my added income really took us in the shorts because the lower paying second job was only allowed to take out so much per tax table.........it ended up costing us around $1200 after workign for one year and only getting another $3k in income from it.......didnt even pay for itself after that time so I quit and fished more
but I did get to buy a new Fridge with my added income

OK, you guys that are getting a lot back only means you let the government operate on too much of your money. Just a suggestion, but the ideal scenario is to get very little back, as that money could be working for you in an investment. I hope everyone realizes that even if you get money back you still paid a chitload of your income to the government, at least that's the way I look at it. There is a fine line though if you are trying to cut it close, that if you don't wanna end up paying in at the end of the year, you have to calculate things fairly accurately. Just my .02.
Yeah Jason you do have a good and valid point. I used to get very little back until I changed my withholdings.

Damn shame! She only made $11.50 an hour and we still had to pay. One big reason not to retire in KS is state taxes, property taxes. Doesn't give Kansas residents much incentive to buy a boat with those outrageous taxes. Since I was deployed my total taxable income came out to $9000 dollars so I got back $5127.00. Basically I only got taxed on oct, nov, and december. The combat exclusion tax deal is great for soldiers
