Anyone fishing the regular ABA Saturday or the Weekender Sunday? Mike Schulte called last night trying to drum up more people for Saturday, said he thought he had about 13 lined up so far and still had several to call. Considering fishing Saturday but don't really feel like shelling out the cash for Sunday...anyone else fishing either tourney??
MIke called me last night too.......he didnt say he had 13 but said he was workign on trying to get more peeps there for itI am not going to be able to make it. I know some will come since it's weekend before K-state tourney so I will think the turnoug will be decent......dont know if you'll get 15-20 boats.....but I think 10 will be a good # for it.
Willy is running a tourney for the Fort Leavenworth Rod & Gun Club on Hillsdale next Saturday and I'm about 1/2 way committed to that one.
Well the KState team will be there but not with ABA. We are having one of our qualifiers on Saturday. It sounds like there are quite a few tournaments out of Milford next Saturday. ABA, ours and another one about 5-10 boats I heard about this weekend (I can't remember the name).

Does that ABA division still hold all their tourneys on Milford?

That is correct......Jason Cybron is Local NBAA director for the Weekend Challenge and he has a Milford tourney lined up for 4/21......he is expected to launch from South side K-state ramp.

he also has an "Overtime" series going with lakes within my area that are after work type thing that will go from 6pm-9pm mostly on Tuesdays.

Yeah I believe it was Jason that we spoke to at the grand opening this weekend. Pretty nice guy.
I have talked to Jason on the phone on occation and only met him once at a Show........very personable fellow........he didnt know me from Adam but seemed like a nice guy

2007 is the 1st year for the Weekend Challenge for Jason running at Milford. I had breafly talked with him in 2005 and was unable to get a Overtime series full schedule together for that year but had planned on doing it in 2006. Nothing was mentioned of him doing Milford in 06' but looks as if its in full swing this year.............I also think he is sponsored by Skeeter/Bottgers too but cant remember.

If I remember right, he tried it last year but they didn't have anyone show up. I guess his co-director is in Topeka and was supposed to advertise the tournaments but that never happened.
I would know the answer to that.....I have not talked to him in a long time now
Yeah he said that he thought the advertising was set up to get it rolling last year and he showed up for the first tournament and no one else did. He is running it this weekend. And yes he is a team member of Skeeter as well as Beacon Marine (aka Bottger's).
Sounds like it will be a good trail and I don't doubt a bit the turnout will be higher for him that it will be for ABA.
I wouldn't mind fishing it if there was going to be a decent turnout...
