    Padded Decks?

Anybody have padding under the deck carpet?

It's an option on the new Skeeter. Just curious if anyone has had any problems.

Mine dont. I think the new Z rangers do though...Bob might know?

I would think it would help a little on a long day

    Re: Padded Decks? (BLAAJA)

I have it on my Z boat. I like it. I honestly believe that it reduces back fatigue from standing all day. Some of the 2005 Z boats had an issue with the adhesive used to glue the carpet to the pad, but as I understand it there's no problem any more. I recommend it

No. The carpet is the same as the carpet throughout the boat. The pad is 1/4" thick underneath the carpet and only on the very front portion of the deck in front of the rod lockers.

Padded decks sound like an option that would be worth it. Course who knows how much extra that will cost.

I talked to a Charger dealer last year at the KC show and he said he thought it reduced fatigue as well.

Hood, so it had to be at least 6 years ago. He had a padded front deck then. They sell them at the place I have my boat serviced at here. They have two 05's on the floor with 225 HO ETECS One is a 496 20'6", and a 396 19'9" both of them have the 225 ETEC HO's. He said he is selling the 496 for 33K. When he got it on the floor in 05 he said it was just under 50K didnt say how much under. He says both boats will run around 72. If you've never seen one up close take a look sometime. They are a sharp boat with alot of neat features! Mainly their livewell cooling system

    Re: (Champer196)

I like the 496 alot! I would rather have a Champ, but I starting to think about buying a new boat, and I hate to say it but to upgrade from my 2000 191 to a 2007 200 Champ would set me back around 44k with a 225VMAX Thats just a little more than we (wife) and I are are willing to pay. I am looking at a Demo Strat at C and O and have been contimplating calling Todd and see what we can work on a trade. I would consider the Charger 496, but the dealer says since its new but two model years old( a 2005 model )he is already loosing his butt on it and wont take a trade on it He is only asking 33k for this 496 and has the 225 ETEC. Said when they first had it new on the floor they were asking high 40's Its pretty damn sharp!

Oh now I see it. Hay man ergonomics is the selling point for alot of people. I dont think Id use that much seeing as I dont like useing Uncle Josh Pork! I wonder if one of those little 7oz. beer cans would fit in it?

    Re: (beetle)

I don't use pork either but if I had a pork trailer tray things may change The list goes on... pork, 7oz. beers, a long neck laid sideways, a johnsonville brat, a extra long conie from sonic, spike it.... Great idea
