$1200 is good, I have been priced a $1900 difference. Some of the extra cost is in the Smartcraft Gauge that comes with the Mercury engine.

to cover mercurys cost of warranty repairs I love my hammer she didnt cost as much.

Honestly my decision to go with Merc. was because I have no Yamaha technicians around here....bad with this being Near Richmond Va.

It's a matter of National economics. You pay more for it. It cost more to run it. You burn more gas and get more wear and tear on your tires and tow vehicle, pulling it back and forth to the shop getting it worked on. Merc owners are doing the Country a great service.

Yammi's are mass produced and Mercs are still built one at a time.
