    Re: Weak 2005 300 hpdi (gbs52)

Just for others to see what Jerry means...

I sent Jerry a worked 28 TXP and a 27 TXP4/OT that I have run 85.6 and 83 mph with. I have the same boat, same LU , same gear ratio, but he has a 300 vs: my lil' stock 250 v-max. Jerrys not even getting to my speeds....

    What gives?

    Re: Weak 2005 300 hpdi (21XDC)

I have a 05 300hpdi that hit the rev limiter with every prop (27T1, 28 and 29TXP) except a 30p TXP. Jr ran my boat 87.8 on my 210 Blazer with the 30p which I believe weighs 200lbs more than the 21' Bullet. If you were to ask me, sounds like that Bullet is fawked up......

Don't you have the HT phase2 kit installed Noah? Were talking stock motors here.

Jerry has anyone plugged in the diagnostic kit and checked all the sensors and settings on your 300? Could be as simple as the TPS being off a bit and you're not getting full timing and fuel delivery at WOT. But yes, from what I've seen, all the 3.3L 300's run like a bull.

I have run over 96 with mine and have a 33 bravo (32 worked up to 33 by Mark) and still slam the limiter! Oh I almost forgot I don't own one of those slow bullets!

No, Iv'e not had the diagnostic ran yet due to no close dealer. Low 80's has been all I can get out of it. I got 77 loaded with the 225 h.p. on same boat. It only turned 6100 with a 27 A-45 Tempest. 5500 with Mike's 28TXP......Thanks Jerry

    Re: Weak 2005 300 hpdi (gbs52)

Some of those 250s run real good They may be with in 20hp each other I would think motor height ect.or tac might be off a tad and its hitting the limiter.... the 300s like big props I would be trying something in a 30 pitch like bravo preformer txp ect. I have a 30 bravo thats hubbed for a Yammie Id let go pretty cheep since I no longer need it ......Spider show the bullet a little respect Blazer thats hauling for 210 Hydro tec has a pretty good running yammie powered 210 running a tad over 90 so thats real impressive 6100 to 5500 = 600 rpm drop with one pitch somethings not right ????

I've got a worked 30 Bravo. The best it has ran was low 80's @ 5650 rpm. I'm using two gps's. It just doesn't seem to reach the speed that a 300 hpdi should. What speed should I look for with this rig ? I've had this motor for a year. I got it new..... Thanks Jerry

Jerry, I would think you would be mid- high 80's with a 30p. If I had some props that weren't worked I would send you some to try. I just sent out a blue printed 30p TXP to another guy to try on his rig. If he doesn't like it, I will have him ship it to you when he is done and let you try it if you want. Hope you get it figured out!!

Jerry has run 29 and or 30 TXP from GEBlazer.... He has a 30 Bravo1 worked by Mark and has run my 28 Bravo1.... I don't believe it's a prop issue.... Especially after he ran my 28 TXP to 5500. I turn it to 5800-5900.
