just got off the phone with the guy at Coffey county,, the lake is open. ... today is the 1st day in 2 weeks that it has been open ... 20 - 25 mph wind and they call you off...

it's had to say,, you have to make sure the winds not going to blow ,, it's nice when there soft water everywhere,, if you have to pull off you can go to another lake

i just got home,, fished from 1 to 4.30 ,, had 2 smallies , 1 right at 4 # the other 14",, 5 LM 1-6#, 1-4 #, 2 - 3+# and 1- 1+,, then there was 11- 2-3# white bass and 8 wipers between 6-8# all but 3 of these fish were caught in the last hour the 6 pound LM and 4 pound SM were the last 2 fish caught on back to back cast.. had to be off the water by 4:30

yes and all were caught in an area 100 x 50 feet the 14"sm was caught on a deep N, the 4#lm was caught on a deep little N, and the rest were caught on a LV100 Lucky Craft with a white dressed treble on the rear

Hmmmm...well that work good for a secondary plan. I have always tried to convince our club to fish there. Maybe we could plan it and then if it is too windy, we go to Melvern.
