    Milford ABA?

any of you guys gonna fish the ABA circuit at milford again this year?? it just seemed like to me that there were not too many that ever showed up for the tournaments and so it makes it hard for Ryan or myself to drive a distance just to win basically $20.00...if you other guys will fish them more this year, i would love to come over and hit milford some more

Sounds like you plan on winning... No reason for me to come now

    Re: Milford ABA? (Bassman25)

There's 4 of us from Colorado that are thinking about fishing a few in Milford.
How many usually show up for the ABA there? We keep getting conflicting reports on drive time as well. Guess I'll have to do it myself and figure it out.

Here the ABA either has 10 boats or 25, you can never tell.

10 would be a big tournout for a regular ABA tourney at Milford.

I'd rather take my chances and spend $25 and take a chance to win $400 in the Seunday morning tourny.

    Re: Milford ABA? (Bassman25)

I can respectfully say that I will not be going to Milford for the ABA's......unless I decide to fish the weekend series I might fish the ABA the Saturday before it.....but a lot of guys might too since the ABA is running the Weekend series and you are required to have an ABA membership on top of you BASS affiliation(from what I understand of it).

I have placed in the top 5 a couple times but when you only have 10 guys there....payout only goes with 1in7......so 2nd is lucky to get paid......I have placed 3rd once and was out of $$ with 3 fish . I will probably be fishing D59 for the 2007...solely due to the fact that it is better organized and seem to have a better turn out then D61.....Nothing against Mike running D61 but it just doesnt seem to draw the same #'s of people when you dont advertise and get word out about it.....plus from what I get....there are still some people with a bad taste in there mouths form previous years

I will look hard at the tourneys I choose to participate in next year....Milford is NOT rulled out but is getting harder for me to consider under those circumstances........Now the Ahern could have been in the picture but I will leave that to the Wolves and go to the Rally at the Rock

What Tyson is saying with the $20 thing is that is what the non-boater fee is....and that only goes if that person has the $$ to help out. There have been a few times that i have fished and the non-boater was not able to afford $20 for help.....let alone the Cast memebers......as far as that goes...I DO NOT expect cast members to pay me.....I was going to be there anyway.....but most do anyway....even if its only $7

    Re: Milford ABA? (tritonryan)

We could probably pull off a 10 boat BBC circuit between Cedar, Wilson, and Milford.

That would be cool but considering the condition and sizes that have been coming out of all 3 of the lakes.......weigh-in might be a little thin.......unless you had some direct knowledge of each one of the lakes you mentioned......plus Wilson would be my brake point I think...I know Cedar's not much further but will be worse drive for me(esp for just a one day weekend Tx). I do know Cedar was used for D61 a whiel back (5years?) and it was not pretty......Wilson is a great lake but seeing it in its condition in September will have my doubts about returning there unless the water goes back up

I just wonder if we could actually have a BBC tournament circuit...like fish: melvern, perry, clinton, milford, wilson, pomona and so on....that would be cool

not in the last 8 years
besides......that is mostly sand....and if you dont mind using a tractor to get your boat to the water(about a 1/2 mile ) you can still fish it.

NOw lets talk another lake that is NOT a part of the lower plate river valleye irrigation system shall we

BTW.....have you been to Wilson lately.....I have pics I can show you of how low it was in Sept
