Hello. Just wondering if anyone can send me in the right direction as to which hole I should have my motor bolted in? I upgraded from a stock aluminum to a BRP Viper 13.75x15 stainless. I've got the motor bolted in the second hole from the top and after reading a couple of the performance reports on the Evinrude site, some of the boat/motors are in hole #3. I picked up 1.4 mph, but noticed a speed decrease on the gps when I trimmed the motor to the original setting. The boat is a Ranger 680t. App.950 lbs. I also noticed I picked an extra 100 rpm's this weekend and the tack bounced around more than usual. 5800 and 31.8. This motor seems to run better and better every time out. It's a great motor. Also, I haven't been able to find any reports on the 60 etec.
Would there be a noticeable difference in performance by upgrading to a 60hp tiller. Is there much of a difference in top end from a 50 to a 60. 2-3 mph? Thank you, Jerry
