Amen - TGIFF!! Going to watch Wichita Heights (9-1) host Hutch (10-0) in the 6A state playoffs tonight. Should be chilly and windy - great football weather. Saturday it's the 'Cats hosting the Longhorns in FB and William & Mary in BB. Sunday the Chiefs visit the Dolphins. Quite a sports weekend indeed. Yee-haw!

Not a bad morning. 4 ducks total, although if I weren't waterfowl stupid and had more patience and aim I'm sure we could have added a few more. Learned a bunch and can't wait to get out again

Yea, RJ told me he usually trys to take the others before he hits a hen but it was the first one so.... I'ts not horrible or anything is it? Not like a hen pheasant obviously but is it looked down apun?

A lot of purists will look down their nose at anyone who shoots hens and you are only allowed to shoot one, but I ain't afraid to crack one given the chance. On a smoking hot duck hunt we'll try and shoot all green but on a slow day if one of them mouthy sluts gets to close, she is getting whacked.
Yeah people will whine and complain about shooting hens but there isn't anyting wrong with it. I personally think a mallard hen is a truly pretty bird.
