My little toon actually broke 52mph on gps yesterday( I know not that fast)......perfect conditions with small chop.....I really need prop worked though to get better rpm out of it but was pretty impressed that it went that fast with only a 115 on it ......I need to raise the motor just a hair though cause it starts to chine walk bad with it trimmed out all the way(Tim has seen me run like that B4 ).....I think it has potential to break 53 but will need a little something extra to do it.

Atleast theres a 40 mph speed limit on Mozingo so I'm as fast as everyone else ..............or at least the ones that OBEY the limit saw several boat blasting down the lake fast than 40 though

I think I need to go that fast just to stay on plane with the tackle load I carry. Sounds like a good speed for a 115 though.

I doubt that Jason.......I think 30 mph is good enough to keep you on plane with that 225

I have been in some nice 17' boats before too and NO WAY have I gone that fast with little HP.....I've been in older ranger with 90hp merc, skeeter with 85hp johnny and a Nitro running a 125hp merc 4 cyilinder and never got over 50 period.....most of them were 42-45 mph Loaded......seems kinda intersesting that I can see 48-50 consistantly with tourney loads and 2 guys......heck I even had Tyson this spring and we were boucing right at 49.5-49.9 on GPS ......and both of us together was enough load by itself
